The idea of taking portraits in parks in sleeveless tops suddenly feels very far away indeed. Buddhist, poet and proud Bristolian Ellen caught what felt like the last moments of sunshine before the year started to pack it's things up, shake off it's leaves and get ready to stand tall through winter.
🌸
Ellen is stood in front of an incredible laburnum tree which gave us two whole tumbles of purple this year. It's trunk wraps around the balcony in the park and always reminds me that nature finds a way.
🌸
Ellen has been finding her way through 2020 with her words, with music and with creative collaborative projects. I love this shot - there is a clarity in her eye that knows well past 2020.
🌸
I hope one day I can look back on 2020 as the year of Laburnums I Have Loved.
