I adore photographing circus performers off stage when they are not performing.
Who they are behind the make up and costume the person in their everyday life still radiates circus to me. Whether it is the acrobats and the way they sit on the floor or the aerialists propensity to start stretching mid-sentence or the jugglers and the way they will begin flipping a boro around, there are little moments and actions which leave a trace like stage makeup.
I love everything I do with Arielle, whether it is portrait photoshoots, discussing the importance of mangos or singing at inanimate objects (I have never met anyone who sings their thoughts as much as until I met Arielle). This human is an absolute joy.
Here was our latest shoot together.
