Spam Filter For Your Brain - Episode 100
So wildly for me: this is episode 100 of the podcast, which is hilarious considering how belligerent I was about starting it. I'm not sure if you've been with us from the beginning, but I recommend going back to episode one, which is why I don't want to start a podcast. And here we are, 100 episodes in. I really hope that these little missives in your ear every week has given you some support that enables you to try and help you find your own answers. That's what all my work is always about, really. It's what I always aim for, not to tell you that I'm right, but to try and ask you some questions which might support you to be able to find your own answers. This podcast is here as a free resource so that anyone can dip into it and hopefully get access to some really valuable lessons that have supported me on my journey. I hope that some of the things that you've been hearing have offer you confidence and clarity and help you navigate the wild times and the wild world that we're living in.
I'm sure you've heard little snippets I occasionally put out on the podcast that I also occasionally run, little low cost workshops. So that's nice, easy access if you like to try and dip your toe in the water a little bit to learn some more about yourself.
And if you've never visited SelfCareSchool, maybe go and have a little rummage as a little hundred-episode birthday present to me, to yourself. There are some really useful, tangible tools in there. Two of the most important courses that I have there are how to make time for yourself, which is something that I don't know a single person who couldn't benefit from. And I have a course which I delightfully call "How to feel your feelings without feeling like shit". So it teaches some tangible actions and exercises to support you, to work your way through some of the big emotions that can come up for all of us when life throws big challenges at us, and how you can not have to feel like you are completely out of your depth or overwhelmed when big feelings arise. It teaches you tangible, practical exercises to get back into your body and get your brain back online so that you can deal with whatever has come up or is to hand or how you want to respond, rather than feeling like you are caught in a whirlwind and don't know the next stage. It is a really, really packed course of very practical exercises to help you reconnect with your body and your emotions.
Then I'd say the other most crucial course that I have there is probably called the self-sabotage solution. And that teaches you all the stuff that I talked to you about on the podcast, which teaches you how to coach yourself through any situation. And that means that if you have these tools at your fingertips and you can know in yourself that no matter what comes up in life, you're going to be able to be more kind, more compassionate, and be able to write the kind of script that you want, rather than feeling like you're constantly being smashed around by what happens to you in your life. This is the ultimate cause for that.
And of course, I also do, or maybe not of course, maybe you don't actually know: I do one-to-one coaching sessions. So if you don't really fancy doing a self-study course, or you feel like that course is going to be collecting digital dust, then reach out to me and we can do a one to one session together and we can work on your personalised game plan for whatever it is that's going on for you. Maybe it's you've got body image stuff that you can't seem to shift on your own. Maybe you want to work on boundaries, or people pleasing, or perfectionism, or maybe you've just got a really tricky situation in a relationship that you want someone else's eye on to be able to make sure that you are making decisions that are in your, your own best interests. Or maybe you need to talk to somebody who feels like it will probably be on your side. I'm going to be the person who tries to help you get you back on your own side.
That's what we do in the one-to-one sessions. You can always drop me an email about that. All the details are in the show notes, or you know where to contact me by now. But it's over at selfcareschool.co.uk
And I just really like to thank you for being here. It feels like a wild thing to know that I've. That people choose to have me in their ears every week. And it's really beautiful to know that I would never know if you're listening to this or not. And so the only reason that you're choosing to hang around is because you're getting something out of it and you find it useful. And I love that for both of us. I really do. So I'm super, super happy that you're here.
This whole podcast is designed to support the idea that the more that we can get some of this socialised, patriarchal nonsense out of our brains and back in the bin where it belongs, then the more kindness, the more love, and the more peace there will be in the world, the more kind we can be to ourselves, the more kindness there is in the world. And I want that for all of us. So I am so grateful that you are here. And if there's anything you want me to do a podcast on, or you would love to dabble in any of the courses, please do, drop me a line, pop me a visit, peek over at Instagram. I'm just really grateful for you. Thanks for being here. See you over the next 100, I hope.
